Need a Mouse Ear?

The quilt underway here is hundreds (and hundreds) of HSTs. The border is Eek Mice by Janet Kime. Only 50 mice. Each mouse has a little yo-yo for an ear. Each mouse has an embroidered tail in the shape of a question mark. (I've told you all this before) but I am Proud to announce: only 14 more meese tails to embroider and the border will be done. Kime's mice border has turned what would have only been a challenge in tedium into a belly laugh; the mice are just So cute. However. If any of your mice are missing an ear, there's one left over here. I guess I could put two ears on one of the mice just to see if anyone's paying attention. What do you think? Polly

Absolutely, Polly! Add that second ear -- it will make for fun conversation.

When my sis taught (She just retired last spring) I made her a vest a year and always 'hid' a mouse. 4th Graders loved it. first one to find the mouse got to ________

Even as long as I did them and she taught, no 4th grader ever shared the secret of where they were so the next class had to find it on their own ; )

So, go ahead, give that one mouse the 2nd ear.

Butterfly (Thanks for letting us share the fun)

Howdy!

..that 49 mice are missing an ear. Is there a home for one-eared mice?

Well, it has really worried me that your mice have only one ear each, so I would be more content to see at least the one with two >g< . In message , Polly Esther writes

I know you've been anxiously awaiting a progress report on Eek Mice. There are now 50 wet mice hanging by their tails on the towel bar in my shower. ( I'd used a washable marker to draw the lines for the embroidery.) Yogi sighed deeply and walked away, 'ridiculous' he thinks. Stay tuned. I know you don't want to miss any of this excitement. Yes, I do need a mouse ear .... the local store is all out of eye of newt and I think the ear would be an adequate culinary substitute. PAT, stirring the cauldron in Virginia

You could put one ear and one tail on the invisible mouse over in the corner!! PAT
