Howdy!

Betsy Chutchian has a new quilt book out, Gone to Texas: Quilts from a Pioneer Woman's Journal

Betsy & I used to work together at Lone Star House of Quilts; she stayed (for a while she owned the shop). Today they had a party to introduce the book; it's awesome! If you get a chance to get your hands on this one, go for it. There's a great story to go along w/ the quilts & patterns. Very well done. They're folksy & traditional quilts. But I can see doing these in some "contemporary" fabrics: yum!

They have been discussing this book on my Jo Morton group. I wanted to wait till I got to a quilt shop, but I think I'm going ahead and ordering it. As much for the stories and pictures as the quilts!

Howdy!

Betsy and her group have been Jo Morton fans for a long time. She's an original in the 19th Century Patchwork Divas group:
