Popping in again to see what everyone is doing, and thought I'd send a post to let you all know I'm doing just fine. Things are slowly but surley healing and improving. Dealing with side effects still, of course, but the worst is now over...patience has never been my strong suite, but I have certainly learned to have more of it over the past several months :)
Went to a quilt show two weekends ago - it was just down the road from my house so how could I not? It was sponsored by the local guild, and was just wonderful and so inspiring. What really blew me away was a quilted evening gown and matching cape - it was totally breathtaking. I spent the entire morning there - went through the HUGE hall three times, taked to all of the vendors, sat through the quilt-turning (I love that part) - and was just pooped out when I got home. But it was so worth it; I even ran into several people I hadn't seen in months. It was great.
And, I finished a quilt!! A autumn wall hanging for my entryway. The top was actually completed over a year ago so back in June I took it out and got it ready to be quilted. It took all those months to finish, but bit by bit I did it. The neat thing is, now I can actually say that I finished a quilt this year.
Blessings to all, Irene
