New QI ... soon!!!

Samson will soon have a friend. My brother's lab is delivering her pups... started last night and had 6 by the time I had to head back to my mom's.

So far -- a white female, a black male, 2 chocolate females (they came together... twins?), and two more blacks... one male/one female (I think).

The white female is mine!! I'm thinking I'll either call her Sasha or Sassy (definitely NOT Delilah!)

There are pics in my webshots folder -- Kayla is the mom... and dad is Cody -- the black lab in the pics.

I've never seen newborn pups before... and they are adorable!

What gorgeous pups. I'd love to have a chocolate lab. But, I still have the two old ladies to take care of, Tasha (Cocker Spaniel) and Meeko (German Shepherd). And, the ultimate QI's, the boys (cats) Pepper and Jasper.

Let us know when she comes home!

wow Kate!

They are adorable!

Makes me want one! We keep going over the idea of a puppy since we lost our female Golden Retriever almost 2 years ago. I guess we aren't quite ready yet.

Keep us posted.

Adorable pups and Dad is very handsome. Mom looks like she's doing a great job! We've had 3 litters of chocolate labs here over the years. Dad was always terrified of the babies - I think he knew he was just too big. It always scared him when the puppies twitched in their sleep. I'd love to breed our female with a friend's male - 2 very handsome dogs but I'm just not ready for 3 dogs, especially with our Maya Monster! Our male probably won't be with us for more than another year or so, so maybe after that. Just be sure to get a crate

- Labs are notorious for chewing until they are about 2 years old! And it's a wonderful aid in housebreaking.

So cute, Kate! I want one too. One of the chocolate ones, please! Kayla looks like she will be a great mom.

My friend's lab had 12 or 13 puppies. Their momma had her hands full.

So... Cody's in there watching basketball while Kayla is doing all the work, huh?

Typical.

What delightful pictures, Kate! And congrats on your soon-to-be new addition to your household. :-) How old is Samson now?

Crates are the best way to deal with pups -- any pups as far as I'm concerned. We crate trained our German shepherd... and we crate trained Sam... I wouldn't do it any other way!

I'm so anxious to bring her home... the pups are all so cute!
