New quilt

I saw a little tablerunner I really liked, forget where, but it was while I was cruising the Net the other night looking for Bible blocks and flowers...anyway, it was so charming and I had a bunch of the squares already cut in my scrap pile - so I thought, why not? I sat down and started making it. I had to figure out the whole thing, and math is not my strong point! Had to cut the side triangles down 3 times before I got it right, and then had to assemble it in straight lines, which took me a while to figure out.

The pictures are in my WEBSHOTS sig below, and it is in the album titles MORE QUILTS.

Shelly,

The little squares are 3 inches, the big square is 5 1/2 inches, and the triangle is cut to 8 1/2 inches ( I THINK). I had to cut it down 3 times and I think it was 8 1/2 inches.

Back and batting were leftovers from another quilt.

I put it together in about 4 hours.

That's really beautiful. It's very simple and elegant, and the colours are so cool and calm.

Thanks for this! It's lovely and looks so good with your pretty bowl on it. It's very inspiring to see the smaller projects.

The kitchen/dining room pass-thru is indeed a good place. Nice addition there. Dancing in the moonlight for ya, Merry!
