New Sewing machine for old Quilter

Hello everyone , Just wanted to share my good news. My Husband bought me a new Singer Confidence to replace the old Brother I lost in our house fire. Today I unpacked it and spent a good share of the day playing with it. I talked him in to going in to town to the book store and we got a couple of Quit magazines and I am one happy camper! The little store where we got the machine has Quilt classes on Wednesday night so I signed up and will see what's up with them. Do I need classes? No, Not really and I am going mostly to hang out with other people who 'Get it". anyone with a hobby knows that people who don't share your hobby don't really get it. If you start going on about a new quilt you are starting or a new quilt store you discovered or what ever their eyes start to glaze over and suddenly they remember something they have to do. So this class is more for my mental health than any other reason. Of course if they have cookies I'll probably go every week

Yea for you! New machines are fun. Are you in Indiana? We were also under a tornado watch and rain last night so thought you might be close.

No, Denny sorry I live here in Central Illinois, Flat land, Farm country where you can see from horizon to horizon cause it's all corn country and the corn is in now. The storm went through and did only minor damage to Springfield ( The nearest large city to us, just 30 miles to our north) Nothing to speak of here. just a few limbs down and a few more puddles. I guess God was watching over us once again.
