not OT, suggestions wanted

DH has been encouraging me to pick up where I left off in NY and start sewing for money again. HOwever, in hindsight, the "name" on my business cards was incorrect. I had "LRV Originals" then my contact info, but the only truly original thing I did was an 8 of pumpkins Halloween costume.

I really want to get back into this as a) it feeds my creative urges, and b) brings in money that I odn't have to take from the family pool (DHs paycheck). I made a list of the things I MOST like to do, and here it is:

costumes formals children's clothing infant/toddler bedding curtains and small home dec items sometimes women's clothing crafty things

So....any ideas for a name??

Hey Larisa, good for you! how about changing originals to creations? LRV Creations, if you make the Wonderpets capes, I would be in line to buy one! T

This is really too easy to suggest but I don't mind being boring - what about 'Larisa Sews' ? I am asked frequently who can make this for me or who would I call to stitch that? My answer, unfortunately, is always that I don't know anybody. Well, not a costume or formal or the other things you listed. So many people have moved from this area and so many businesses are simply gone since Katrina. I would love to refer them to 'Larisa Sews'. Whatever you choose, you might want to think about posting your card on the bulletin boards at the grocery and bank and others. I really do check the boards and am often pleased to see services offered that I didn't know were available. I saw one today for a Plant Sitter. Oh my, how my house plants would love a sitter. Polly

something that identifies YOU as well as WHAT YOU DO...then people don't have to call and say: what exactly do you create? what do you do? short and sweet is awesome, but sometimes you need more than two words to describe something....I really need my thesaurus for this one!!!

He says Tuck's which is the red one. Don't you just love that show? He is hooked on wonder pets & Diego and of course Thomas :) Wonderpets hasn't started marketing any products....so they got these people being "creative" with the freebie items they offer on the nick website & selling them on ebay. Can you believe they are selling things that are already offered for free? But, there are some that are making the capes & selling them....don't know how they can only sell them for as low as 9.00, but they do. I wanted to make him a T-shirt with a logo printout but I bought the wrong type of transfer paper, it was for copiers not printers....oh well.....I will give that a try again later. good luck on your company :) you should get one of those polling websites (which are free) to do your poll!
