Totally hysterical--and while I do have the patience for and like the serenity of hand-piecing and hand-quilting--I must confess where machines are concerned, I have days like she described. Thanks for the giggle. :-)

Dennis, Lovely story....I can relate very intimately! My family is Italian. My mom and her sisters did it for me and my older sister. My sisters and I have done this for both neices, and will for our youngest sister, if she chooses, for her wedding in October.. Each time, we have the same staple cookies, and the bride & groom pick a couple new ones they'd like to add. I can smell them baking now....Thanks for the memories. amy in CNY
