((((((((( Alice))))))))) I understand. My Angus, a 14-year-old Rat Terrier, is nearing the same time in his life. It is sad, so sad, that our beloved pets live such short lives compared to ours. But I truly believe that they are blessed with a sweetness of life that we do not share. They don't dread or fear the future. Our pets live for the moment, happy and content if they have our presence and a full belly. The grief is all on our side. And the responsibility is all on our side, to ensure that after a lifetime of love and devotion our little companions don't suffer needlessly. Alice, you have my support and my sympathy. tis almost time. I just can't bring myself to take her in and put her down. Keep hoping she will pass quietly on her own.
