On and OT: Christmas is coming

And so is company. DH's cousin and her husband are arriving for a short visit tomorrow. We finally tackled the indoor decorating for our small southern home. (pictures are on my blog!) Yesterday we shopped for groceries, then came home and made a banana crunch cake, and a mincemeat tea loaf, with DH assisting. Today we shopped for the items we forgot yesterday, and now I have 2 dozen oatmeal banana muffins and 2 dozen pumpkin raisin muffins cooling. The house smells great. I'm off to sew for a while. I've been making quilt tops with my stash of plaids. The first was all plaids, the second had some tan muslin in the blocks, and the third is plaid and lights mixed together. I'm hoping to get the borders added today, so I can change machines. I like to quilt using my Juki - it has a lovely stitch. Since we have company this weekend, I won't be able to pin-baste until Monday at the earliest. I want to get all three finished before the new year, so the fabric can by counted on my "stash report". Later, I'll be making a batch of cream cheese pastry, so I can bake some mini mincemeat tarts.

I found the microwave jam recipe many years ago. It makes small batches, but sets well. I like it because it uses less sugar than the Certo recipes. Of course, there is a learning curve with each microwave

- different power levels. I make m> >>

Susan,

Could you post the recipe to rctq? I would love to have it, too.
