Well, it's not my fault today is my day off. The Courts have Veteran's Day off. Yesterday was payday, so that means a trip to the bank.
A couple weeks ago I went to the bank, and decided to go across the street to a fabric/craft shop called Fabric Well. They have been in business for 35 years. "Would you like to sign up for our block of the month? We just started for the next year." "No, I don't think so." "Well, it is only $12 for the whole year. You pay it up front, come in each month and get the new block pattern and the fabric for it. If you don't like the fabric, you can get 3 FQ for $1.00 that day only, to use. Of, use your stash." Sold!!! Signed up, did the October block - a rail fence I did in the basket weave setting - using one of their fabrics, plus my stash. Went back today to get November block and 3 more FQ for $1.00.
They had a coupon on their website 10% off plus another 5% if you write Veteran's Day on the coupon.
DH went with me. He said I have blown my diet and gone on a binge. I told him [insert drumroll here] "I didn't binge - it was just a Fabric Snack" ;)) Best score was a USC Trojan fleece throw panel to do for Uncle Mike, and a couple yards of Hoffman's McKenna Ryan's Silent Inspirations Style.
DH said I should write you'all and pronounce the new lingo. He says we are always talking chocolate and food, and that we act like we can't live without fabric. Well, there you go!
Ginger in CA off now to a memorial service for a dputy killed earlier this week.
