Bobby let Yogi inside after their walk this morning and stayed out himself. I heard the water running. In a while, Bobby came in and said, " I watered your lilies". Good. The pots seem to dry out mighty quickly just lately. I am reminded of the course some old folks were taking to rejuvenate some romance in their marriages. The speaker asked the men if they even knew what their wives' favorite flower was. One old coot said to his wife, "Yours is Gold Medal, isn't it?" Anyhow. I don't have any lilies. He meant the petunias. I guess they look alike. h

And, Polly, your wonderful attitude and sense of humor are two of the many reasons you two lovebirds have been happily married for so many years. (And why I haven't. LOL)
Bless you for your wonderful outlook on life- and for sharing it with us.

Love it love it love it!!!!
Sorry, you all. I meant to send this to my husband's sister who has lovely flower gardens. She has such a gift that all of us think she could grow beer bottles if she took the notion. She even has a butterfly garden that makes my heart smile just to watch hummingbirds and butterflies who visit. I thought it would tickle her to read that her brother still doesn't know a petunia from a lily. Polly

I'm glad you sent it to us, even if by mistake! I needed a smile today, and this did the job.
Hi Polly, your post made me smile. I have so many Day Lilies out in the front yard that I have offered them on Freecycle. So if you want to come out to SC to get a few, I DO have extras! Barbara inSC up close to the mountains
"grow beer bottles" You crack me up!!!!
Kind of sweet to hear you talk of your Mr. Esther so. Usually you are a tad more formal here. Desert petunias are looking really good. Day lilies the only kind of lilly that will take the heat here and they come along later. I don't think my dh knows that the petunias are that either.

I'll bet they're beautiful, Barbara, and so glad that you are sharing the day lilies. I love their happy faces. Polly
Thanks for the post, Polly. It reminded me that I need to water the tomatoes tomorrow. That's how my mind runs lately! PAT
We had 4" of rain yesterday. You should have just seen all the gators out with their loofahs and exfoliating scrubs. They smiled a lot. Polly
Yeah, well right after I posted that, it started to rain buckets here. I also whined about the HP fabric. Weird postings in the wee hours of the day. That's what I get for staying up way past my bedtime! PAT
