Good morning M-C and all other RCSers....it is afternoon here in the UK and has been sizzling for the last three weeks :o) It is a "little" cooler today so I am tackling my rubber stamp stash...LOL Didn't realise I had gathered so many stamps...hehehe!

Hello everyone,

I am in central London and the heat is almost unbearable. I cannot do that much in the heat - though lately I did a little "stock take" of all my patterned papers and came to realise that I have a lot more than I thought (good news then!). I am thinking of a way to organise them... by colour? by brand? (or, as per my husband's suggestion, by cardboard vs paper)? So it is something to think about today...

Hello to Marilyn - I imagine the heat in Scotland is just as scorching as in London...

It's cloudy here, and rainy, but after the high heat we've been having, it feels good. I'm doing laundry today, trying to get ready for children's camp next week. I'm hoping I can put some card kits or page kits together to work on next week if I have some free time.

Klara....this is the best website around for organising your stuff

you might like to give it a look. I sort cardstock & patterned paper separately in vertical Cropper Hopper Paper Holders and some modified magazine holders from the Stationery Box. The weather in Scotland is probably a few degrees cooler than London but we are much less used to the heat so it saps your energy. I am pooped....LOL...but some rain and thunderstorms are expected.....so it is very humid.

I'm hoping Deb calls and tells me my SU order is in so I can run over and get it to fondle all the goodies!! LOL I am just doing odds and ends. It's to rainy to do much of anything but try to stay awake. Rainy weather makes me soooo sleepy.

Not yet. I'm stalking the UPS driver though. Too bad I lost his cell phone number, I could call him. LOL

Hi M-C,

So, glad to hear you're getting time to scrap! Kids are having friends over, so I'll have time to spend doing some organizing in craft room. I'm wondering where a few things are, so it's time to peek in a few boxes and find out where the heck things are. My blister is gone, so I may try removing a few more rubber stamps from their mounts *being ever so careful to protect my thumb*.

Looking forward to seeing Lindsay's baby book.

Thanks M-C....I did lurk and read occasionally.....just never got around to replying to posts till it was too late! Haven't really been in a crafting mood for a wee while...life just getting in the way. Recently, we have been spending a fair amount of time doing work outside in the garden and we are building a sun room on the back of the house. That takes a lot of time up.....then there is all the mud, dust, cement and sawdust to deal with....LOL The dogs just love to bring it all inside :o) They all need another haircut and bath but that is on the to-do-list for next week.

Haven't much to share with you all except I have still been stash building but not scrappin'.....LOL DH is wondering when we will have to move house to accommodate all the stuff that gets shuffled and stroked on a regular basis......ROFL Costco's has been getting some nice scrapping supplies lately....even Heidi Swapp...which I didn't buy!!!! I bought four albums a few weeks earlier and I have several orders on the way from QVC as well. I avoided last week's TSV Xyron Die-Cutting System (nearly gave in though!) At £91.00+ I thought it was a bit OTT for what it does and I felt the shapes a little too clipart-like for my taste. I hardly use my Sizzix, Sidekick or Quickutz so another die-cutting machine would be madness. I also bought into the Coluzzle system but will need to get most of what I like from the US...they just seem to keep the Starter Kits and a few of the shape templates here. I want alphabets, file folders and the new tabs template (stamping foot in a tantrum) so I will buy them from the US at some point. Our local W.H. Smith has a fair supply of the DCWV stacks now although my local LSS has shut their bricks and mortar store and gone back to online sales :o( That was a big blow as I don't always want to buy stacks of paper.

I have spent time sorting out my unmounted rubber stamps and I used Arleene's Reposition-it! Tacky Glue and stuck them all on page protectors in a ring binder. I don't like the EZ-mount foam!! Like you I haven't unmounted my others from their wooden blocks yet but I think I will eventually...they take up so much less room!!!! Since buying the SeeD's stamps and clear polymer stamps I love ease of storage. You can find them all so much easier which means that they will be more likely to be used. I have just stamped a whole bunch of Pippsywoggins to make up some cards. I will spend some time colouring them in now and make up the cards at the weekend.

Hi Tammy...I am in Central Scotland almost mid way between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Aberdeen is a few hours drive from me :o) I have had fun re-discovering what stamps I have. They were stuffed everywhere in this craft room.....LOL Now I have reshuffled them I will perhaps be inspired to use them.

Thanks Deb....I have missed participating in the group but you know how life gets. Hopefully, I will be able to hang around for a while and catch up with what everyone is doing. I have done a little stamping tonight, so I will ease myself back in slowly. Haven't scrapped since January/Febuary so I need some inspiration to get me kick-started again :o)

It's so nice to catch up with you, Marilyn! It's almost like old home week on RCS. Not just our travelers are back, but also a few of you who have been busy made it back! Must be because I'm considering another RCS Bingo to celebrate back to school next month!

Thanks Cec....I am trying to read some back posts to get a feel for what is going on with everyone but it will take a while to catch up. It is nice to get a chance to participate on RCS again. Hope nothing comes along to put another spanner in the works...LOL
