It is beautiful Estelle. I am with Pat, no border or binding. You could do a backing all in one, envelope style. If you do a facing, just pin a backing fabric on, and then place facing on top, pin and sew. (I would stay stitch around close to the edge on the facing side before you turn it the rightway out, as far as you can to each corner). The facing can have a gentle curve on the inside edge rather than all squared up with straight lines. Are you going to do anymore quilting on it once it is backed? Also, facing or envelope backing, consider that the outside line of the piece again does not have to be straight sides and squared corners. Hope that doesn't sound all too confusing.....Now, if you could bring it around this afternoon and have coffee with me, we could work on it together . Cheers Bronnie, over the Pacific Ocean

Another option would be a facing with a dark colored corded piping in the seam. When the facing is turned to the back, you will just see the piping.

Oh wow! it could have a 'wavy' edge (for the title ...) perhaps just one side, as it is small ...? . In message , Bronnie writes
