OT - Aussie Bronnie in New Hampshire

The chronicles continue.... I'll jump in here before Judy in Maine logs on! It has been difficult to get online to rctq as we are busy during the day and at night, either the accom does not have wifi or we are busy getting travel info. A big thing is --- my twin sister Pam, is presently up in Canada. I dont think I told you guys that. She lives in Oz, is a school teacher and has 19 weeks sabbatical. She is travelling in Canada visiting friends, for 5 wks and then going to the UK. Being such close sisters, we try to email ea day She is at present in outback Ontario - and I mean outback. About 500 miles north of Thunder Bay. It has already started to snow (and here in the northern US I see on TV tonite. We narrowly missed that on our route across the north I see.) I digress -- we had a great day with Judy and her DH Don - who is a keeper - good fun and they are obviously live a contented life. Judy took us for a drive along the New England coastline, we loved the quaint housing and historic towns. We had local lobster and crab cakes at a tiny local cafe (fully 8 ft sq!). Yum. Judy had cooked her world famous blue berry buckle cake for morning T and it was a winner, we have 2 squares with us for tomorrow's drive. What a delight she is. Oh, we visited JoAnnes, a first for me -- and guess what, she found the dog pattern fabric I had been on the lookout for this entire trip. ( I don't normally do 'novelty' child's quilts, but I got a commission just before I left Oz.) Judy had kindly saved some 50% discount vouchers, so I also got some expensive (for Aussies) water soluable stuff 2 for 1 and saved heaps on the dog fabric bec. I needed

3 yds. My ankle is still giving me some grief - it is hard not to walk on it, on vacation. Boston was such a wonderful city. We stayed at a charming B&B downtown. We are now driving (not in the rv - that is done now) in a sm rental car (DH really enjoying that after the rv!). thru NH. for a couple of days before heading to NYC for our final week. Will write you from there. we might be able to catch up with Kim (AuntK) from NJ one day. Hugs Bronnie

Bronnie, it's good to hear from you again, and I'm so glad your trip is going so well. As for your sister, I know what you mean. My DT and I email each other every day, too, unless one of us is away and without a connection. In addition, we video chat most days. You'd think we'd run out of things to talk about! LOL!

I hope the remainder of your trip goes really well. :)

Glad to hear that the reminder of your trip is going well. Sorry our visit had to be so short and your time in Chicago area rainy. We haven't had snow but enough frost that flowers are gone. At least you were able to see Chicago with flowers.

Hi Roberta The B&B can be highly recommended, right downtown in a quiet street in South Bay. Booked thru website:

#M372) The property is at 54 Montgomery Pl. Kathe McKenna. Walking to subway etc. The room was lovely and at street level with a king bed. If you need more info closer to the time, just let me know. Cheers Bronnie
