New Hampshire Celebration of Needlework

Made me go look and see if I wanted to go to Louisville, but I don't think I will - only two of the classes even come close to interesting me (in design) - the fishy knot pin and the sheep punchneedle. The rest is variation on samplers or 18th-19th century work.

This looks great if you like samplers and antique-y pieces, but I don't see anything for those of us who want to do other kinds of designs. :(

Hi Linda, the focus of Celebration has always been very traditional needlework. I thought the Hardanger pieces were interesting and there's a crewel work piece as well that was tantalizing (to me.) I can usually find some new technique that I want to learn, even though I'm not really a sampler grrl. My problem with CON is that it's right before Maryland Sheep and Wool which I like to go to with my sister (May 5 and 6). Too many choices!

I just sent in my registration. I signed up for the Saturday Night event, the Friday gagdet class, and the friday Something fishy. It's time I learned how to do knots correctly. We'll see what I get in. I can be there any or all three days, it's even closer to my house now, and work already gace me . that Friday off.
