Well here I am in New Hampshire

Listening to the burble of real, steel cut oatmeal cooking while I read my groups and such! I'm waiting to see more than the merest dusting of snow but that can wait until Tuesday.

I should be thinking about a grocery store run after I eat my oatmeal, but I have the newest Monica Ferris and the newest New Stitches in my tote for work and they are calling my name. Just one or two more really busy days and I can relax. DS is home from college, DD has hockey at 11:30 AM and that's it for games until after the holidays.

I've been working on those baby dragons and my mini banner, doing some reading and the tiniest bit of shopping.

See ya later all

If I would think about how good oatmeal would be for breakfast, I would do just that. I'm going to eat this batch today and maybe tomorrow or Wednesday (meeting a friend for breakfast for a belated birthday and Christmas get together)

The decision is that I will go to the grocery store after DD's hockey game. Should be plenty of time to do that before we take the DH for his birthday!

Oatmeal sounds good. I must remember to get some when I'm out.

Been lazy and doing very little. Some stitching on the almost finished What In The World and a lot of reading. Mostly old mysteries and thrillers. Nothing spectacular that I can recommend, but it keeps me busy.

I did read Room, by Elinor Donahue. It's a really odd story. I'm not sure whether I loved it or hated it, but I will say I'm glad I read it.

LOL - DH has been on an oatmeal binge of late, which means me trekking downstairs in the cold to get it started in the wee hours. Hadn't thought of using the slow cooker - it's an idea.

I've been feeling like Cheryl of late - spending time in frozen hockey rinks for various reasons - including DH getting back in the pipes for a game that meant I had to drag his goalie bag to meet him (was just about time for him to get to the rink from work - no time for home, and I couldn't let him have frozen gear from sitting in the car all day). But, I did actually watch said 2 hour private skate (ref team) and stitch away....

Hope you had a good Bday dinner for the DH. What's with these NJ boys and the December B'days. DH is home today with "scratchy throat" - which I read as feeling a bit blah and it's cold and grey out. Now, the issue is we have to go on an errand this afternoon to sign some docs at his awful sister's attorney in Leesburg. Which is same town as the excellent outlet mall (across the street from Costco). And I'm deciding if I want to brave the parking lot to dash into the Williams-Sonoma outlet....Plus, he actually wants to go to Costco. Ugh. We'll see. In the meantime, it's laundry and stitching today.
