I had such a good time on Friday! I only went to 5 of the 13 shops in the Central IL Shop Hop, but that was enough.
Two of the shops I went to are my favorite LQS, but because I've been trying very hard to be very good this year and use my stash instead of buying fabric, I haven't been to them in several months.
I was literally drooling over all of the new fabric and other things I saw. And I was with a very good enabler, so I ended up coming home with several yards of beautiful fabrics (including a yummy print with lots of fall colored flowers on it. I think I may never be able to bring myself to cut it up.), a handful of fat quarters, and 2 kits. One is for a cute advent calendar that I think would be fun to hang in the dining room and the other is for a gorgeous quilt in the fall oranges, yellows, and reds that were calling to me all weekend. I saw the sample hanging on the wall in the shop and I kept going back to it, so eventually my friend talked me into buying it.
I've been feeling kind of "blah" about all my half finished projects, but now I can't wait to get back to the sewing room.
