There are sites that have maps showing the huge areas burned out, but they are being innundated and it can be hard to get them to load.

I believe the area lost in Victoria this season is around

3/4million hectares to date. The west of the State is on high alert for the next four days as well, and pretty much everything out here burned last year.

pics from yeaterday Even Aussies can forget that this the most fire prone continent on the globe. On any day of the year there is some part of Australia burning and the fire is big enough to be visible from space.
