Australia Ladies

Waving hand wildly!

This is the wrong time of the day to be asking this and since I need it tomorrow, I probably won't get an answer. And it's all my fault because I've known for a month that I need this information.

Anyhoo!

We have joined with an Australian guild to be like "sister" guilds. We got packages from Aussies last month and we are to return the zip lock bag tomorrow night filled with little goodies that our lady might like.

I know that Leslie mentioned once that she stuffed Wal-Mart sacks around something she had mailed to Europe and her friend was thrilled because they apparently have evolved beyond plastic throw away bags (as we are soon to do, I guess).

So if you live in Australia, what are some things from America that you might enjoy? I'm putting some fabric and a bag that I made and a magazine. What else can you think of? It won't be mailed, it's traveling back in a suitcase of a dual citizen (like you, Jeanne!). I have tomorrow to get things ready because our meeting is tomorrow night.

Any help?

I have a mental blank Cindy....Any thing that is typically American mmm

Chocolate. To me that is Hersheys Peeps press and seal I was once sent some 'Hefty' zip lock bags 11x 10.5 which I had never seen before.

We still do have plastic throw away bags.

I can't think of any thing else at the moment, If I do later I will let you know.

Did Dye Magnets ever make it down under? Freezer paper? Two gallon zip-lock bags (great for 12 in. blocks, if I remember the dimensions correctly???).

Dye magnets are available in most supermarkets and Freezer paper is in LQS or on line... but both are good ideas.

Fat quarter. Fons & Porter Magazine Keepsake Quilting catalog Clothilde catalog Bag that I made Kansas quarter (not fabric - money) Quilt show booklet Guild Pin A couple things from our county - EMS card with 2008 calendar. A whistle on a key chain with EMS info.

Not Australia, but 'Press 'n Seal' is what DSisIL brings me, and despite me taking it to LQSs to show them their suppliers still don't stock it whereas they do Freezer Paper.
