Friday David and I took General to the vet. Poor furbaby got a ton of vaccinations and a blood test. So lots and lots of pokes. Plus, he got frightened by a dog he saw in the treatment room and the howling and growling of another, injured dog that had just been brought in.
Since we've been home he's been acting strange on a couple of occassions. Friday night General was on the bed next to me. After I'd fallen asleep, David came in and General started to growl at him. Always General has been the most affectionate and friendly cat, with everyone, even strangers. So the growling really surprised us. At the time, I put it down to the fact that General wasn't feeling well after all the vaccinations. Everything seemed fine Saturday and Sunday.
Last night, again, I went to bed a little early. General came in while I was reading, got on the bed, got pets etc. Later David came in, started petting him, and again he started to growl at David.
He never growls at me. Just David.
Any idea what's causing this new behavior? And how do I nip it in the bud?
