OT..charges for sewing duvet?

Duvet or Duvet cover? I am guessing duvet cover. Essentially it is a like a giant pillow case closed with snap-poppers along the open side. quilt backing fabric would be ideal and make it an easier job. What makes them tricky is the sheer size of the fabric pieces. Sorry, I can't remember how long it took me last time I made one. I know that an overlocker/serger would make it *much* faster and easier.

If you are making the duvet cover and you can't find backing fabric that you like, try bed sheets - the next size up probably. This is what I did decades ago. I also used velcro tabs for the closure - spaced evenly across. I also made mine with a 'sandwich bag' type top, i.e., flip over a 10 inch or so piece to hold the duvet in the 'bag'. Then put the velcro taps on that. As to fee, I would figure out how much you want per hour and figure at least 2-3 hours for the sewing, trimming, etc.
