OT: Chicago Marathon

Well, for those of you hwho are interested I finished the Chicago Marathon!! I did it in 6 hours 20 minutes. I ended up fast walking the second half due to a cramp in my foot, you know, the kind that makes your toes go in different directions? OUCH. I'm glad I did it, it was freezing cold out, I don't think I'll do another one, but I did raise $2366 for the Aids Foundation of Chicago. And our group raised

1.2 million dollars for them. I think I'll stick to 1/2 marathons!! Thanks for reading! Karen aka unclbennie aka queen of the sky!

Way to go! I probably still wouldn't be finished if I'd been there - of course, the cold weather does give one an incentive to move quickly, doesn't it? Congrats on the accomplishment and for raising such an outstanding bunch of money!

Congratulations on both the finish and the fund raising. My son was handing out water at the first station. He said it was cold. He has decided to only run half marathons, too.
