OT Columbus Ohio

I'll be spending a few days in Columbus, Ohio near the convention center. Not much free time, but are there any attractions I should seek out?

There is a great quilt shop just east of downtown -- Quilt Beginnings at

3408 East Broad St. @ James Rd. intersection (the center of downtown is Broad & High St.).

I'll let one of the locals highlight other activities you might wish to check out.

There is a Monet Exhibit at the Columbus Museum of Fine Arts that is a traveling show that is in Columbus for a month or two. The Franklin Conservatory is a really neat place to see floral displays. They have a show now that is a fantasy model train display that is interlaced with the floral display that was done by a guy that travels around the world doing this kind of thing at various museums. Not just your average model train set up. Both of those things are at or close to downtown, and worth the look see if you have the time and they are not too expensive, $6.00 a ticket or so depending on age discount. I will try to think of other things and let you know if something comes to mind.

Thanks John! I'll be working at a percussion convention so I don't know just how much time I'll really have. But I'd hate to miss out on something I could have attended.

And if you go North on High St. - you will find The Glass Thimble. Parking in the rear of the shop...

Thanks! It may just be wishful thinking on my part that I might be able to get away from the convention hall. But you just never know!
