OT: Daughter's Site

I wondered if for a moment I could push our two daughters' barrow. The eldest's craft isn't everyone's cup of tea but we're rather proud of her talent and our other girl originally began to write stories for each of the dolls but with an increase in her family, she found she couldn't keep up but I'm hoping she'll get back to it one day. They have a site I set up for her a couple of years ago if anyone would like to have a look. Eldest maintains the webpage, now. Eldest completely remakes fashion dolls, repaints the face, reshapes the hair, designs and makes the costumes and weapons. Youngest also makes any chainmaille from scratch using good quality wire wrapped around knitting needles and cutting each link.

Oh my, Wendy! You have *very* talented DDs! I've just been looking at the dolls and am amazed! If I were a doll collector, I can see that I'd

*have* to have some of these. :) They're exquisite.

Wow, Wendy... what amazing talent your daughters have. I would buy one of those dolls in a heartbeat if I had the free money. I harbor a serious doll collector in my heart. These are gorgeous.

Oh My - another thing for me to add to my wish list - Neryss and Lilith would have to be my favourites but they are all so very gorgeous. Can you buy any of them? Or just the one on the sales room page?

She has sold every one of those dolls (except the Wee Faeries), mainly through eBay but now she's just putting them for sale on the web site. Even thought she might have several on the go, she usually just sells one at a time. It's not the selling that interests her, it's the making. The selling just pays for the equipment with a bit left over for chocolate :o)

She has been invited by Angie Gill, the Silent Auction co-ordinator of the Mattel 2008 International Barbie Doll Collectors Convention to donate a doll for auction with the proceeds going to charity. She was thrilled to bits. That meant recognition from American artists which is a big thing for an Aussie lass.

They are truly beautiful. If you don't mind, I'm going to pass the URL on to some folk I know will also love them.

That would be lovely, Kate. I know she likes to share what she does with others and she's most happy to share her techniques on wing making, weaponry and costumes.
