OT: Haitian Relief .... easy to donate!

I know that newsgroups such as this one will soon be asking for quilts and supplies to be sent. But there is something we can all do right now:

Easy to donate to Haitian relief efforts. Text 90999 on your cellphone. In the message area write Haiti. You'll get a message back, asking you to reply YES if you authorized the donation to the Red Cross. $10 will appear on your phone bill. EASY, and the least we can all do. Please spread the word... Please copy this and send it around!

To donate $5 you can text to 501501, supported by Wyclef Jean, and put the word YELE in your message area.

Both of these sources have been verified by checking snopes.com

from the looks of the aerial shots they need some good strong bulldozers to clear the roads so the aid can get to them. even the men/dogs are finding it touch terrain to manage. worse than our coast to coast run in the south island. gonna take a long time to get them back to any kind of normality. hospital collapsed so those they can get out are being sent to domican republic next door. they've found people under rubble but so much and with no equipment they cant get to them. some folks are under metres of stuff, amazing they're still alive. that said if they cant move the rubble soon they might not make it out. so very very heartbreaking. :( my blood isnt any good so we're sending money. j.
