Why not contact Silk Weavers

. They are located in Mississippi and were taking collections to help with stash replacement for Hurricane Katrina victims.

When we were moving in the spring, I donated lots of stuff to a local EGA. They were sending things to the soldiers in Iraq. J

If you have a woman's shelter nearby, contact them. Many of the women have left home with nothing. It would be a welcome distraction.

I have taken floss and tapestry wool to local craft shows and no one has turned them down yet.

Try a local senior center. They frequently welcome craft items to help keep the old ones interested. Clarice in AZ(a senior-lol)

I donate mine to the local hospital thrift store. They are staffed by volunteers, and any money they take in from what they sell goes to buy new equipment for the hospital.

One of our local EAC guilds are meeting for stitchins once a month at a seniors care facility. We start this month and are expecting the residents to drop by the meeting room and perhaps participate. ruby
