Hi,
I am so happy today that I could probably fly if I spread my arms widely enough :-) I just got back from seeing my oncologist ( who needs a better name than Dr. Doom now - I'll work on that ). I had a CT scan on Monday and she gave me the results today. Once again, my tumor has shrunk and a good bit of the "muck" in both lungs has cleared up. When she told me that, I burst into tears and was unable to ask for details. Guess what! She got up and hugged me! =-O As for the details, the size of the tumor and the density of the muck are still a bit larger than they were at the scan that was done immediately after I finished OT - back in March. BUT they are a good bit smaller than they were in September. I may not be back to where I was in March, but I am heading in the right direction again.
This new drug is very slow acting. I have not been on it long enough for it to reach its full efficacy but it is doing quite well in my opinion. Unless something really bizarre occurs, I should continue to improve and do not need to go back to see the doctor for two months. That by itself is a feel good thing!
As always, thank you for your thoughts, prayers, well wishes and support. You are all doing a spectacular job for me.
Rita
