OT: HE'S GRADUATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son will walk across the stage tomorrow night and get his high school diploma.

I loved school when I was a girl. Now, as the mother of two incredibly smart (IQs over 150 both) boys who are not conformists, I have come to hate the entire system of education in our world. Now, my youngest is going to graduate. We didn't know for sure until noon today. (Brinksmanship on a grand scale) It's done. I never have to endure another parent/teacher conference again. No more dragging him from bed and forcing him to go to school, begging, threatening, bribing..... you name it. It's all over.

Thank goodness, he's graduating.

Congratulations to YOU, Sunny. We've just graduated a grandson with an equal amount of enthusiasm for high school. It is wonderful to see them with that down and done. His high school seems rather unusual to us; most of the students finished with a 3.5 or better. Fortunately, this system allows parents and well-wishers to cheer, applaud and celebrate in any manner that makes them happy. There was a lot of that. Atta girl, way to go and yeeeHa for you. We're proud for you. Polly

Congratulations! I am doing many happy dances for you. Give him a hug and tell him from me he should be PROUD he survived the school system. And you should be proud, that after years of having someone else try and force your sons' 'square pegs' into the school systems 'round holes' that they survived, evidently with their sharp edges intact. Yay for the mom that raised two bright no-nonsense individualists! They are free now to join the ranks of other folks who did not mix well with educational systems, whose ranks include Richard Branson(Virgin Records), David Neelemin(Jet Blue) and Albert Einstein.

Jury is STILL out on my son. He has less than 2 weeks left of school. I was wondering when the decision would be made. Noon the day before was your experience. I doubt our district will be more timely.
