I have had them from there and they are lovely quality, but their service is not good!

Other than them being sold out on occasion, I really haven't had any trouble with Hancock's- their store is pathetic, tho, at least during the big quilt show. But for this price, I'm willing to take a chance! VBG

I'm with you Leslie....I've ordered from them often and haven't had any problems. I guess I've been lucky from what I read about them. Why is their store pathetic? It's packed with fabic...AND people during the quilt show. Not much they can do about that. I've always has nice sales people and pretty fast service during quilt show week...and I've been there 10 times!

Kathyl-

I guess maybe I used the wrong word- more like hopeless? There's soooo many customers and the bolts are flying from the shelves and back onto the shelves soooo fast you have to find the perfect fabric in the few seconds that it's actually *on* the shelf . The employees hardly have a moment to answer any questions about what they have and where to find it. Many of the notions were not on the shelves- I was told they couldn't keep the shelves and racks stocked fast enough. I also didn't like that their marked down fabric was pre-cut into one yard lengths. I would rather have had 3, 5 and

10 yards continuous cuts.

If you enjoy the challenge of a madhouse, then it's great during the quilt show. VBG

Ok I'll buy that....it can be a hopeless, infuriating/ maddening hunt for something specific during quilt show week. I think they try to run at warp speed during that time. Many of the employees that week don't usually work there, so they don't have a clue where specific items can be found. The largest lengths I've purchased in the back room have been 3 yard lengths...continuous. Not all the pieces are one yard cuts. And, yes, I do enjoy the "hunt" during show week. I love talking to the other people looking through the fabrics or standing in line.
