OT how to wash Satin

I made drapes for my daughter out of bridal satin. I have a front loader machine. Can I wash on gentle and hang to dry? There is no major stains just some spots from sitting on the table. There is also nothing on the drapes as far as grommets. I simple hemmed them and hang with clips so I'm not worried about anything catching them in the washer. Thanx Joanna

Bridal satin should be fine in a front loader. You may want run a fairly cool iron over them before you hang them to dry. Or after they are dry if you prefer, I just find it easier to do when they are good and damp. Press on the wrong side with a cloth of course.

NightMist doesn't generally dry things she is going to press and then hang up.

Howdy!

Satin can be difficult. It's easier to wash Satin if she actually wants to be washed. I work with Satin on the church's communion team, when she decides to show up (not often). Maybe hanging her w/ some sturdy clips would adjust her attitude.. or not.

Good luck!

R/Sandy - typing "stain" for "satin" - could by my inner brain...

What type of fiber is it? If it's a polyester satin, it will wash beautifully-- then tumble dry.
