OT-I need a measurement for a 6 mo old baby

Jun 02, 2008 2 Replies

I am making mom a jiffy quick top out of that seem it up the back fabric with the elastic thread sewn into about 8 inches on one end....voila, a blouse. (it is short) I got enough to make a matching dress for granddaughter. The stretchy part of course will cover her whole top...I need to know how many inches from top of shoulder to top of diaper and bottom of diaper. I think those two measurements are all I need.

Thanks all you mothers of babies out there!

As you might expect - I checked 3 different brands of patterns here. They give *dress* length for size 6 months as 13", 14" and 14½". Very few 6 month-old babies have learned to stand in front of a mirror although it will happen soon. I'm sure if it's a bit short or long, that Mama will be delighted either way. Making a matching top for baby sounds so precious. Polly
