OT: Kaz is famous!!!

Quite a while ago, I met the rep for "Petcurean" dog food (nayy) and she asked me to send in photos of my two *boyz*, Kaz & Murphy, with a testimonial. I happened to look on their website today, and Kaz is there! Not sure why they chose to "edit" Murphy (perhaps because he's a mutt?), but take a look at my 104 pound "baby", Kaz. Scroll about

3/4 of the way down the page, he's the Doberman with the uncropped ears.

Of course they're gorgeous but Patti didn't mention how smart Kaz and Murph are. My special favorite tail (!) is the one about when Patti brings something inside that might be of interest to her boyz that both guys will immediately Sit ... just in case, you know? Polly

"Taria" What a cutie. I can see why they used the photo.

Okay Louise - it IS pretty funny. My *boyz* absolutely love squeak toys - to pieces. A couple of years ago, I was making Doggie Gift Baskets to sell at a Christmas Bazaar, I think I was making something like 24 of them. I ordered a bunch of squeak toys to include in the baskets, and this huge box was delivered to the house. I didn't bother opening it, until I was in the final stages of putting the baskets together. I opened the box, and got an armful of toys and carried them across the living room, into the kitchen, where they were sniffing around, wondering what was going on. One of the toys was tucked up under my arm, and it accidentally squeaked. They both, immediately, "sat", hoping I would give them a toy. So......... I had 22 baskets instead of 24 - they were just too funny to resist. And, ohhhhhhh, those eyes!

I love it! I'm immediately picturing my Dobie (who's been at the Rainbow Bridge for many years) doing something like that. He was such a sweetheart and pretty much a "mama's dog." He would have definitely reacted to a squeak toy just like that. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Patti! Kaz looks awesome in his photo! We have been living without QI's for a few years now, as we do so much travelling, and don't like to use a kennel. I do get my pet fix by "dog sitting" for some of my neighbours from time to time....

Patti - a dog "food" question: we are on the search for a new food for our Lab. She has allergies to wheat so has been on Salmon and Brown Rice for the past 2 years (she just turned 3). With the salmon shortage, her last 35 lb bag of food cost us a whopping $70.00 instead of $50.00! I'm pretty sure she could handle another protein source so we are looking for one. I looked at the details of the petcurean food and they look good.

So, what food do you give your dogs and where do you buy them? Also, how do the prices compare with other premium brands?

Your Kaz is beautiful, by the way!

Patti,

I tried to send you a note to ask you to send me the information about the pet food but the address you gave bounced. My email address is easy enough to figure out I think.

Thanks,

Judie
