No need to protect the gators, they well know how to take care of themselves. How many, of the 8,500 here did we lose to Katrina? Not one. The only critter-care challenge we had was the hummingbirds. They passed the word that the food was good here. We had to take turns filling up the hummers. What a sight. Polly
