Okay, the storm blew over... but WOW when it was going on it was a doozy! The biggest flash of lightning that happened just before I shut the computer off looked like it was almost right outside the window beside me. Nothing there but a parking lot, but it could still bounce off the metal fence between the parking lot and the house. And the rumbling of the thunder made the entire house shake for a good 3 minutes straight.

But like I said, it looks like it's over for now anyway. There is still an awful lot of cloud coverage up there and it's moving around quickly... so you never know when it will make it's way back again.

I only came back on for a couple of minutes... Matthew wants on for a little while before it decides to come back... and then tonight we are watching wrestling together.

Hi Gem,

Sounds like the ones we have had off and on last week and going to get again on Tues. Glad you are safe though, that's the most important thing.

Hugs,

Oh Gemini, I...could say I understand that "Yikes, Storm is coming here" - feeling. The main thing is that you are safe, just like Auntie Nora told.

Thank you, Pirjo... and thank you as well, Nora! I'm not nervous of storms.... in fact I love to sit in the foyer and watch them through the windows, they can put on quite a show! I just don't like being on the computer, or telephone when there is a storm right outside the house. :o)

Oh Gemini...you are brave! I can not but admire you. My paternal grandma died when lightning got involved....so I am not any fan of storms.

I'm sorry to hear that, Pirjo... that would be upsetting.

I have never been afraid of storms, and when Matthew was a baby because I never showed any fear of storms they have never bothered him either. In fact if he is asleep when a very loud thunderstorm happens right outside the house... even the ones that shake the entire house... he sleeps right through them and doesn't even know we had a storm unless I mention it. :o)

Hi Gemini! Yes, it must have been that to my Dad. You see, when my paternal grandma died, I was not even born yet. Dad was 6 years old back then. But when my maternal grandma died, I cried so hard I got a migraine attack, as I have mentioned.

Oh what a brave woman you are. I simply hate storms...I do not like them, even if I am tired and resting, I just turn myself to another position and go to sleep...or at least I try. Best: Pirjo
