OT: Puny woman

I have crept downstairs with a cup of decaf tea to let you guys know that I will be absent for a bit. The weird little cough I woke up from my nap with on Saturday is pneumonia. I'm in bed with big antibiotic, breathing t reatments on my nebulizer and a great big shot of depamedrol in the tush. There's this great word that the Brits use that is perfect for this situation: I am totally knackered.

So back to bed I'll creep and think about the fun little artsy blocks I've been working on and then go back to sleep.

Hugs, Sunny

Oh Sunny, kick back, get some rest. Now's a perfect time to catch up on all the reading and movie watching you want, between naps pf course. Get better soon and come back and play!

Hugs and prayers, Sunny. I'm amazed at how pneunomia is going around right now. What's up with that?!?

Mother says get some rest, drink LOTS of fluid, and de-stress yourself. I'm sending good vibes, peaceful thoughts, and healing prayers your way!!

And be careful - I had pneumonia in both lungs about 2 years ago and didn't think much of it at the time (didn't really feel much worse than a bad cold at the time) and didn't take it easy (housework is never-ending, work is demanding, etc)... ended up adding about 3 months recuperatin' time. AND did enough damage that when I got DVT a year later that I was REALLY sorry that I didn't heed the doctor's instructions (got several blood clots in my lungs and the damage from the pneumonia made recovering from THAT even longer and harder).

So, please, even when you start feeling like you've kicked the pneumonia, listen to the doctor and take it easy!!

Big ol' quilty hugs!!! Connie :)
