SOT Let me bore you

Sort of OT

I put part of this down at my old post about my mailing flannel troubles but want everybody to know the simple rules. Here's how it went. I had to have my blood pressure checked. It was

111 over 71. Somewhat better than the 200 over 100 when I was gainfully employed, wouldn't you say? Had to have the Yorkie QI checked. He suffered through the indignities and accepted the snuggles and praise at the vet's office okay. Then I took the dangerous package of baby fabric to the post office. Here's the bottom line. You can mail fabric up to 13 ounces with ordinary postage stamps from your mail box. If it's heavier than that, you either have to divide it into more envelopes or present it at the post office in person or use the post office's online system for printing postage using your credit card. If I'd known, I would have simply put the dangerous preemie stuff into two envelopes. Also, I mailed my Christmas quilt to be longarmed. You have finished your holiday quilting haven't you? Made progress? Started? Polly

Talking to myself now but it is to be expected at my age. I also sent Jennifer some sunflowers for her Toots hug. That little envelope required a customs form. I hope I did it right. Polly

I don't think my blood pressure has ever been 111 over 71 Polly. If it was that then I would have $33 a month to spend on quilting, If my cholestrol was lower then I would have another $33 to spend as well.... that's life

It just could be this year, Sandy. If it's quilted in May, that should give me a few months to get the binding on. When I mailed the Christmas quilt, it only had 4 corners but you know how those longarmers are. Polly

Yikes - I just took my envelope of sunflower fabric to the post office & they applied the proper amount of postage. He didn't have me fill out a customs form. I hope it gets there without any problem.
