Ot sewing

What I have been doing for the last weeks.!! My 2nd DS is getting married in 4 weeks. The suit hire firm were unable to match the chosen Fuchsia colour by the bride. A pleading phone call from DS asking /pleading can you make 10 Cravats and Hankies for the wedding party, resulted in the post to DS. They are very happy, I had a few sleepless nights. Very pleased they are done. I normally work better when stressed but decided to get these done in plenty of time. Just hope the sun shines on

10th July. They are in the beginning of quilts folder if you find time.

Well done - the things we do for our children!

That was the colour of my bridesmaids' dresses 44 years ago next week. Fortunately matching cravats weren't the order of the day then - in fact I don't think even cravats were an option - just normal ties with morning suits. The strong pink really looked lovely in the darkish church. We went out for lunch last week with my child bridesmaid - now

54 and grey haired. Where did the years go!

Fortunately when DD got married she wore cream and had no bridesmaids!

Fingers crossed for the weather - we are supposed to be having a heatwave sometime, aren't we.

Very nice, Estelle. I'm afraid if my DS called with such a request, I would have had to hire it done! You're w wonderful mother, and I'm sure DS agrees!

Yes for the bride. I have a few surprises in it! The company she bought the fabric from ,told her she would need 5 yards/ meters. I have only used 2 including a matching Cravat for a DGS. It was 60" wide. I am planning to maybe make some cushions, with wedding picture in the centre! Maybe lol

Thank you Pat. I had to purchase a display one to take apart. It took me ages before the penny dropped and I could assemble them.Conveyer belt style.

Thankyou Louise. I'm glad I was asked, as the Brides mother has all the input. I only have 2 more bachelor sons. Maybe they will want Fuchsia cravats.lol
