OT: Tell me it ain't so!

We change back to Daylight Savings Time tomorrow night?? Or I guess it's tonight by the look of the clock.

The only reason I know is because I just saw a car commercial and they mentioned it.

That CAN'T be right, can it?

yep, I guess it is... I started hearing hints a couple of days ago on the radio.

It will put me back on the same time as my kids, which will make phone calls way more convenient for me. Spring is here! Yay!

Yup Cindy Daylight Savings Time is coming in on Sunday morning. For some crazy reason Standard Time is only 4 months now instead of 6.

I guess the golfers need an extra two months of daylight in the evening to get in an extra 9 holes.

That was the highlight of the current president's energy plan -- extend the length of time that the country is on daylight savings. Makes not much sense, is not research driven, and actually causes lots of problems when it comes to scheduling international conferences, travel, etc., but doesn't save energy.

'Tis so. . . . . .

I don't think my body never recovered from going off DST, so maybe this will help. Even the cat was still waking me up on Standard Time!

You can get lots of info if you google: In Aug. 2005, Congress passed an energy bill that included extending Daylight Saving Time by about a month. As of 2007, DST starts the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November.

I use an astrology calender that has it listed clearly. DD has been griping for weeks about it coming. I can have her call and gripe to you too next year if you want some earlier warning Cindy. lol Taria

I had no idea it was today- until I read Dear Abby this morning. Yep, Abby says to change your clocks before you go to bed tonight!

Afraid so. I love what it does for the amount of day light we get, but I am so screwed up for a week or so afterwards.

Unfortunately, it *is* so. I hate the fact that our DST starts and ends at such different times of the year than the rest of the world! My DT lives in France, and it wreaks havoc with our video chats. Not an earth-shattering problem, I'll admit, but I can just imagine what it does to companies that must communicate internationally!

I think there was some kind of experiment with this in the UK in the

60s, though I don't think they changed when the time changed, but what it changed from and to, so it was GMT+1 in winter and +2 in summer, despite the UK being on the greenwich mean line.

I don't think I ever adjusted from the last change, so maybe tomorrow morning I won't even notice.

Half my clocks are still on DST from November. I just have to remember they are NOT an hour ahead anymore.

I need her to! I knew it was earlier than usual but, jeez. I swear the car commercial was my only hint.

DH said my computer will change on it's own. I said unless it reached out and slapped me, that wouldn't help.

Anyway, I went to church this evening so there would be no chance of being an hour late tomorrow. Thank goodness we have about 30 church opportunities.

I had an argument with DH on Friday morning. I told him not to forget to take the trash to the end of the driveway. He said in that condescending way, "Darlin, it's Thursday, you better go back to bed (I stay up way too late sewing)". We argued for awhile. He looked at the calendar. I told him THAT wasn't going to help him if he didn't know what day of the week it was.

I seems he has been screwed up all week because of the Leap Year thing. It didn't seem to affect him last weekend, but he thought it was the 4th when he went to work on Monday.

He was happy.
