OT: We're losing Jo

I am in shock. Out of the blue Jo suffered an internal hemorrhage this morn= ing. He was fine when he had a checkup two months ago. Today his abdomen wa= s filled with a mass that was obviously bleeding. At 10 years old, we expec= ted to have our boy a lot longer. Surgery might stop the bleeding, but the = vet says we would be right back in the same place within a few months. That= 's just too little time to put him through the cruelty of surgery and recov= ery. He would need multiple transfusions and the chances of abscess would b= e very high, the vet says. So we are saying goodbye today. The family has t= o gather at the vet clinic. We left him there, cuddled into blankets and ve= ry still, too ill to bring home. I'm so sad.

I agree with what Barbara said. You have the biggest heart for letting him go at this point, even if it is a bleeding heart right now.

HUGS!

I'm so sorry, Sunny. Having gone through this recently myself, I know the heartache you are feeling right now. {{{{{Sunny and Jo}}}}}
