Look what God has wrought!!!
Last week, my dad was diagnosed with acute myelitic leukemia. He was supposed to start chemo this week, but there was a delay because he had not stopped his blood-thinning medication early enough (wasn't told to.) Chemo was rescheduled for next week. In the meantime, they went over the latest bone marrow biopsy to see exactly what genetic type of leukemia he had.
This is the note I got from him this morning.
The bone marrow shows the MDS has not yet changed to leukemia. no aggressive chemo necessary, no hospital. I will start on dacogen next week. No chance of fatality as there was with chemo.
Prayers do get answered, you do get second chances. We will keep you posted
