News Server no longer available

My ISP has discontinued their news server. I would like to find a new way of having a newsgroup capability through Outlook Express that works the same way.

I am sending this on Google groups, which is awkward.

Any help from someone technical?

Thanks,

servers are supposed to be free. Users report that by using themthey did not notice an increase in the amount of spam they receive.

I would change ISPs if it were me, after all, I pay for the service, so, it they reduce their service, either they reduce their price or go elsewhere

Hello Derek,

I've been using Newsguy News Service for newsgroups for several years. You just read them in your browser. I use Netscape, but the Microsoft browser would work fine too. The service is about $25.00 to $35.00 per year, but I consider it worth it. All of the postings are shown for several days and it changes the color of the thread name to indicate you've read it.

I think they can be reached at .

Good luck.

Thanks for this tip. I'm now back on rcw through Outlook Express. They take a couple days to get back to you, but the free price is worth it.
