Gee, Jeanne, you just must be more careful about your punctuation if you are going to write 'southern'. Tar'd (with an apostrophe) is certainly 'tarred as in probably also feathered'. Tard is defined as weary, exhausted, worn out. Try to get it right, will you? Polly

How is your DH? Hopefully recovering well from his wounds? I've not kept up with all the posts -- so may have missed some posts.

Business is staying strong too I hope? I bet you'll be ready to turn a new leaf and start a new year ... soon!

Prayers that you both are getting back to normal! (well ... at least as normal as you were before! LOL)

correct spelling worrys me not. if'n someone has a mind to tar and feather me, so be it. i'm sure there are more than a couple folks here who'd like to very much. but hey, i dont have to work today so i dont mind one bit. nope, not one tiny bit and if it makes someone happy they can go for it. had my nap and feel even better than i did before. been watching the birds out back, had to chase the little beggers off my strawberrys tho. the birdbath is full up from the rain this morning so they should be washing themselves not into my berrys. naughty birds. shrug. jeanne

dh is fine. thanks. he got his last full bandage off yesterday, hes down to one small one on one arm now. has only been 2.5 weeks of the big taped up bandages, argh. heard nothing more about the dog other than the animal control went out to the house and told them to put up a sign and do more about their fencing, tho iirc, dh said they had good fences in the backyard where the dog stayed unless he was in the house or on a leash while taken for a walk. they are good owners just this one time didnt realize what he might do if he woke from a sound sleep and his mistress was at the door talking to someone. i'm sure dh is a bit more cautious with dogs now than he used to be tho. til this incident he'd only ever had one dog make a lunge for him but he was walking towards the house and when the dog headed towards him growling and he stuck the flowers between him and the dog. dog grabbed the flowers and shook them in his mouth, tossing them to one side and then heading for dh who by then was in the car and the owner was out and gained control of the dog before he reached the van. they did not get their flowers replaced. didnt even ask for them to be. roflmao. usually folks will answer the door and say i didnt hear my dog bark at y ou at all....this as dh has walked past the dog in the yard, saying hi to it. seems those dogs usually bark at everyone so was unusually that dh could walk by and they'd do nothing. he has a natural afinity with dogs and cats most of the time. so this was really unusual to get bitten. all is well now with dh. thanks again for asking. as for me, i dont expect i'll ever come right...just slowly fading into the sunset. oh well. j.
