Where in the world is Jeanne???

Update: Jeanne is driving a rental car from Charlottesville, VA to Charlotte, NC today. ALL flights were completely overbooked, so this was the only way she could start her travels to Houston.

Things are WAY out of control here, and it was at the decision of my husband that her trip was so short. We are still trying to figure out what the heck happened, but he was furious, and Jeanne and I were both freaked out.

However, She now has good maps and is heading to Houston early, where she will more than likely be helping set things up for the show (earning herself a free pass as well...lucky girl!).

I will try to get information as to what caused husband to get so wigged out and will get it to Jeanne.

TINA - Jeanne might not get to Houston until tomorrow, and I just noticed that she left the info sheet about your work days and such along with your phone numbers on my desk . I think she has them written down elsewhere...if I hear from her once she gets to Charlotte, I will give you a call and pass along any information

Larisa, headachey and completely confused

Oh my....a blip in the trip. I hope things get figured out. Jeanne sounds like a tough cookie, so I'm sure this won't be but a bump in the road for her. Take care. KJ

hey there, Larisa. i arrived in Charlotte intact. good drive down, perfect weather, no construction to maneuver thru and only stopped twice for a pit stop. took 3/4 of a tank, so not even a stop for petrol.

turned in the car, then headed for the airlines. nothing on United, nothing on USAirways, both are star alliance my first choices, but did find a seat on Air Tran changing in Atlanta. only bad part of that was the flight wasnt til 11:30 this morning so slept/camped out in the airport all night. not my favourite sleeping spot but it wasnt too bad. have slept in worse places in my life time an survived so it was just trying to fill in the hours and hours and hours. i could not go thru security where more shops etc were cuz i couldnt check the bags til morning, argh. i did however divise a makeshift pillow. took out one big piece of fabric, stuffed it full of smaller pieces of fabric, tie ends in a knot and VOILA!!!!!! made two and used those under head and back/elbow to cushion the bloody awful seats the have in airports, dont they know sometimes folks have to sleep on them? what were they thinking, lol. anyhow, two late flights later and i'm here. heading off to bed in a few minutes, well after a muuuuuuch needed shower.

big thanks to jenn for accepting an email from a stranger with my msg in it. i waylaid the poor man in the WI FI room at Atlanta...you dont look busy now, could you send an email for me please. i could only recall Jenns addy off the top of my addled brain so i hoped it would make sense and she'd send the info to Tina. you did a great job. your reward is in the mail, if not arrived already, lol. sent that out on Saturday i think?? could of been thursday tho, i've lost track of the day anymore, lol.

big hugz L for making the best of a situation you had no control over. i hope it all works out that end for the best. ttfn from Houston (working as an angel on wed, then i get a badge and can wander the market days with less crowd and get in the rest of show days all for free, woooohoooooo, gotta love Tina for making that possible). jeanne

Jeanne made it into Houston last night - a little ragged but none the worse for wear! I think she's taking advantage of catching up on some much needed sleep today!

She and I will work show set up tomorrow. Thursday will be a kids day for me - parent/teacher conference, daughters doctors appointment, and Halloween cookie baking, then the elementary school play that evening.

Friday, we will have an after school group of 10 year olds for a Halloween/getting-to-know you party with classmates from 4-6p.m. here at our house.

Saturday is a Halloween/Fall Festival day here in Houston..... so I'm sure Jeanne will be subjected to at least one Festival Then she can help pass out candy to trick-or-treaters on Tuesday night! he he he he

Next week will be a whirlwind of Quilt Festival activities for all, so I'm hoping that I catch some naps and long nights of sleep this coming weekend!

Can't wait to see you all, HUGS and catching up!

Talked to Wendy this morning and we definitely need to talk about where we want to meet-up for a group dinner Friday or Saturday of Festival ?????

Hugs to all Tina, in Houston
