You woudda not believed what we saw near Kearney NE!!!!!!!! THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of flying Canadian Geese! took a number of pixs in hopes that at least ONE would be ok...I tried the close-up thingie on the camera. haven't had time to download em yet.
They all were NOT flying in V formation: one gaggle of em looked like a Q--they were huddled in a full circle with a 'tail' --checking out the corn stubble fields. Then there were the thousands of em feasting in the fields. Funny.they were only in the fields on the south side of the road--made us wonder if they hadn't cleaned the north side the day before. What a sight!
Then there were a group? gaggle? of Egrets by the flooded water--wrote down the area we were in but I haven't found that 'piece of paper, yet.
Also saw ONE LONE Antelope looking East with it's tail to the wind---and a few more minutes down the road was the herd of them taking a rest...a few more miles and we saw the same thing--ONE LONE ANTELOPE--and then the herd lying down. Saw a few deer further down but they were too far out to get a good pix.
