I used to be a Minnesota Quilter --until they moved their meeting date/time to Saturday from Friday -- then I couldn't attend! :-(
Now it would be a bit of a drive... from Michigan! LOL

I think we have between 140-170 members in any given year. We have PM meetings so that working quilters can attend. We also have quarterly meetings (also known as Joint Meetings). That's when we conduct the business of the overall group.
Yes, the newsletter is for guild eyes only. I'm not sure why -- I guess because we put people's names, addresses, and phone numbers in there. I think there was also concern that people who don't pay dues could read it for free. (I taught in a school where two staff members did not want their pictures on the school website -- they thought someone would see their picture, come after them, and harm them.)
