Quilt Sampler Mag from BH&G

I love this magazine and can't wait for the next issue each time. It's like going on a trip and visiting so many wonderful gorgeous, down right breath-taking, shops. I read it cover to cover - so much interesting stuff. Now I wonder when we'll be paying the American price ($6.99) instead of the Canadian price ($8.99), since our dollar is now worth more.

I'll be heading to Harrisburg, Pa next month - what shops in that area are worth visiting?

I don't know the Harrisburg area itself -- but if you are willing to drive a wee bit (an hour or so) -- you won't want to miss these:

Sauders in Denver, PA, the Old Country Store in Intercourse, PA, and Cedar Lane in New Holland, PA. Those 3 shops are all fairly close together -- about an hour east of Harrisburg. Denver is right off the Turnpike. They are also close to Lancaster -- and all in Amish country.

So if you have the time -- might be worth taking a day and going a wee bit east of Harrisburg. And another fun trip if you've never been... is about

20 minutes northeast of Harrisburg on 322 -- Hershey, PA.!!!

Have a safe trip.

Definitely visit Sauders at Exit 286 and The Hayloft at Exit 298. They are both very close to the Turnpike Exits and have 1000's of bolts of fabric. Hayloft gives a discount if you show a Guild membership card. You can check their website to see what items will be on sale while you are in the area....check out
