Pam, I had never made a quilt before in my life until September of last year. Like you, I decided a memory quilt, with pictures of our lives, would be the greatest gift for my mom. (And she loves it dearly!)

It was SOooooo easy! Here are a couple of pictures, of mom and her quilt.

All I did was cut 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 squares of fabric, different designs.

5 1/2 x 5 1/2 squares of white muslin. I used the June Tailor (I think that's the name) photo transfer sheets and my husband printed four pictures to a sheet for me. Then I just cut them, ironed them to the white blocks and sewed them in the rows.

There are some other products also available that you can print the pictures right on to fabric sheets. Just check your local JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby or Wal Mart.

Just buy the product for printing photos on fabric and follow the directions on the back of the package. You can buy the product at Wal*mart, Hancocks, Joanns, hobby lobby, etc. Buy extra printer cartridges and follow the directions from your home printer about how to print regular photos. My printer has a wizard that walks me thru the process easy peasy.
