I have blocks from a private NG swap, 2 Carol Doak swaps, LQS thangles class, and soon another Carol Doak swap. Guess that makes 5 sets of blocks. :)

May I join you, Sally? Time. That's all I want, all I'll ever want I think (or perhaps a little more speed so that I can make better use of the time I do have). Sigh.

Someone to quilt the about 20 pieced tops I have .I would gladdly piece theirs!
I would take ANYTHING quilty ... but alas, as my hubby is not the "online ordering" type and is too afraid to set foot in our LQS or JoAnn's it will be more than likely cooking related gifts for me this year (he LOVES to cook - so cooking gifts are the equivalent of a bowling ball with his name engraved on it) ...
Although, I did hear them talking about dropping off DD at our LQS with cash this year ... the benefits of having a daughter that quilts!! Yay!!
That should j-u-u-u-u-s-t about make up for the all-kitchen gifts for the past 10 years!! She's got GREAT taste!! :)
Hugs!! Connie :)
Why not?? I know that time isn't tangible, but a teenager to come and help with the chores 'round the house so's we can quilt IS tangible ..
I've actually been considering that ... in our area, we have LOTS of teens that are always looking for part time work. And I'd personally be happy with only 4 hours a week ...
Hubby's given me the greenlight on that, but I've not yet felt that I "deserved" it enough to go ahead ... the habit of "doing it myself" is so hard to break!! :)
Hugs!! Connie :) (Who's got at least 4 loads of laundry calling her name ... and a roast to get in the crock pot - then it's quiltin' time!! Yay!!)
Hubby has said he's fine with one of those "convertible" tables ... one that changes from a buffet-looking table into a sewing machine table, for our living room.
I have a "studio" downstairs, but if I use it all the time, it's a choice between housework and sewing. I can't run up the stairs and do laundry or cook all the time (too exhausting with my health issues). So we're thinking of one of those tables so I can have the choice to sew upstairs (and therefore get more chores done).
Wallymart has one for $98 that's gotten decent reviews. Not "heirloom" furniture to be sure, but good in a pinch! Think about it, if it sounds interesting to you!! :)
Hugs!! Connie :)
W-e-l-l.... Besides 'guilt-free' quilting time (can't really go sewing when the living room wall painting is only partly done!)....fat quarters are always fun - especially since I like scrappy quilts/projects. And if I don't specify colours then I could get something different that I wouldn't have thought to buy myself! Angelina fibre would've been on my list except that I bought some at a quilt show recently. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Don't think I have pictures of them. Not even sure where some are in this clutter. After living here nearly 9 months, we still haven't unpacked everything. And doubt we ever will.
i would love a Janome 6600, with a table that i could put it in flush with the top. Any kind of cotton fabrics. i love fat quarters too. Some new rotary blades, i just put my last one in my cutter. And someone to buy my house so i could move to California and be near my kids. Oh, yeah, and be debt free! not too much to ask is it? amy in CNY
Oooh, I'd really love a quilter's housekeeper!

I took your request as a challenge this evening. I dug thru boxes, tubs, etc and found the many sample/swap bags. I've taken pictures of all and have some on my webshots site. I hope to get all the pictures uploaded this evening and will post the link.
Well what I'd like Santa to bring me is...... someone to help me crack and clean 5 pounds of pecans so I can make the pies and pralines.
Next... someone to help me clean my quilt room. No not the dusting, cleaning carpet, etc. I mean sorting fabric, thread, needles, batting, backings, templates, rotary cutters. blades, you know the usual stuff.
Know of any cleaning ladies that specalize in quilt rooms. Oh she has to like cats, I have 7 QI's.
I can only pay with Dove chocolate,if that's o.k.

Hmmm .... I'm in Northern FL and willin' to take you up on your offer of chocolate and kitty-cat pats ... I'm good at organizing for other people and sometimes myself (if that is, I actually care about what I'm organizing!! My quilty area is spotless and organized to the hilt - but my kitchen always looks like a hurricane hit it!!!)! ;)
But the pecans? You'd be on your own on that!! :)
Hugs!! Connie
