thank you Sandy. Hope yours was quilty. I spent today at the Quilt Show here in Phoenix. (Actually the Arizona Quilters Guild show.) Was there yesterday too. Had to wait after the show closed to pick up my quilts/judges comments and so forth.

Pictures are in the camera and will be posted soon. I did not photo all the quilts, but many.

Thank you, Sandy. I am turning it into Quilting Week, and focusing on my very first ever Portrait Quilt. We shall see...... I'm exciting about it because I actually understand the directions, and because my mind is bursting with ideas for such a kind of quilt. I'm using the book Fabric Photo Play by Julia Wood. Already veered off the path a little by using 3 colorways intead of one. LOL!

Thanks bunches, Sandy! I got a lot accomplished on Quilting Day. I finished the Double Irish Chain Quilt Top that will eventually become a raffle quilt. It will help raise funds for my church Relay for Life team. The parish Stitchers volunteered to make the quilt top, and one member volunteered to quilt it on her super special long arm. Another member donated the fabric for the top: cream on cream background, solid green chains, and tiny floral print chains. It is a lovely top! I also took a few minutes to tidy and organize one fabric drawer. I found some good stuff in there, and set aside some small pieces for the guild donation table.

It is a pleasure to work in my sewing room now. I really pitched in to tidy it last month; it is way neater than it had been last year, but some of the containers are still messy. (Out of sight, out of mind syndrome!) So, I'd like to make time to tidy a couple bins or drawers every week, and QD seemed like a good day to start.

So, what did you do? PAT in VA/USA

Didn't get any sewing done but thought about it while sitting at the Toyota dealer--Got a new Camry XLE! Loved my Envoy Denali but was only getting 14 or 15MPH around town--so hopefully will get better mileage in the Camry.

Woo Hoo, enjoy that new Camry. We've done well with our 1998 Camry. It has taken me to lots of quilting events. PAT in VA/USA

Howdy!

I'm proud of you, Pat.

To make my Quilting Day a Happy one, I quilted, ordered some fabric online, mowed the other half of the front yard, (got interrupted on Friday), met my husband as he came home from San Antonio, shared some delicious chicken-pecan-w/-cilantro salad, quilted some more, then rootled some stash. It was delightful.
